One of the things I love is snuggling up on my bed reading a book, it's just so soothing and comforting. Whether its a light-hearted comedy or an intense murder mystery, I love them all.
I'm currently building up my book shelf and I didn't know what books to buy so, I was really excited when I then remembered Zoella's Book Club. (A selection of books which Zoella recommends on WHSmith with exclusive covers.) When the video first came out about her book club, I was really excited because I wasn't into reading as much as I am now and I was excited to branch out and read books from different genres and authors.
So then I went on WHSmith and did some browsing and I went straight to the Zoella Book Club section. There were some really interesting books which I remembered she had mentioned so then I searched it up and was very happy with what I found.
I was about to place my order but the bill was quite high so then I decided to scrap that and order it on Amazon. (Amazon is this massive online store with things from books to food containers.) I really like shopping on Amazon because you get really good deals there on books because they're normally 3 for £10. And even though I won't get the exclusive book club cover, I'd prefer to just buy it cheaper because at WHSmith it might be like £16 and then on Amazon its £8 and to be honest, I like to find bargains. A few days later when I heard my books had come in, I screamed really loud, whilst sitting in Creams (desert parlour) and I got a lot of death glares... It was hilarious!
Anyway after that massive ramble the whole point of this post is to talk about some books which I've really enjoyed. To be honest there isn't much of a variety yet but, I'm working on that.
Oh, how I love a good light-hearted comedy! So I thought I'd gather up a few of my favourites:
Dork Diaries Series by Rachel Renée Russell
These books really crack me up. The main character Nikki is so funny and I really like the plot line. I like how its really relatable instead of some far-fetched fantasy. Also, the illustrations in the series are really cool.
Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
I absolutely LOVE this book its so funny. The main character, Rebecca Bloomwood, like myself is a Shopaholic so I feel really relatable to her at times. Also she's really funny and her excuses to her latests splurge can really crack me up.
I don't normally read action books but I thought I'd mention it, even if there's only a few books:
Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I was assigned to read this book in school and at first I found it incredibly boring so it was a real struggle to read but after I while I got really into and I actually enjoyed the book.
Hunger Games Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
This is the sequel to Hunger Games and like the first book I thoroughly enjoyed it so even if you don't enjoy action books then I recommend you read this one anyway.
This isn't really a topic but these are some of my favourite books which are somewhat fashion related:
Model Under Cover Series by Carina Axellson
My friend first lent me her book from the series and at first I wasn't to into it but as I read it more I got even more excited. Its a mystery series but then the main character is also a model and its fashion related which I really like. I've only read 2 out of the 4 books but I can't wait to pick up the rest of them!
Geek Girl Series by Holly Smale
I absolutely love this series! I haven't yet read all of them but they are definitely on my wish list. I really like the characters in it especially the main character Harriet and her best friend Nat. They're so different but yet very compatible.
Zoella Book Club:
This is just two of the books from the book club which I've really enjoyed:
Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard
This book is sooooo good! Its a book on friend and family issues which I don't normally read but it was really good and I literally couldn't put the book down. This has got swear words in it though so its only for years twelve and above.
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
This book I think is actually my favourite book from the book club so far and I'm actually going to do a separate book review on it so I'm not going to say much but anyway, its such a good book and like Beautiful Broken Things I couldn't put it down!
What books are you currently enjoying?
